FOUNDER

Alina Cravero is a registered Architect in New York and Connecticut, holding a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and active membership in the American Institute of Architects. She is also a certified Passive House Designer, with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Architecture.

Prior to founding Cravero Designs, Alina had the privilege of restoring and renovating a variety of historic and non-historic homes across NY and CT, including an 1800s carriage house awarded the Lucy B. Moses Preservation Award. Reviving historic homes remains a passion Alina continues in her practice and personal life. In Westport, she serves on the Historic District Commission and Architectural Review Board/Historic District Commission Joint Committee, helping to steward the community's historic structures in accordance with the town's Preservation Regulations.

During her 20-year career, Alina amassed a diverse project portfolio, including work at a renowned NYC architecture firm as a Senior Project Manager. There, she led projects of all scales, work scopes, budgets, and typologies, including all-inclusive renovations and additions. Although she specializes in residential work, she has also worked on commercial and small institutional projects, including a small neighborhood Veterinary Hospital, a private Sudbury School, and a retail space for Davidoff of Geneva. In addition to practicing architecture, Alina served as an Adjunct Professor at NYIT early in her career.

While this diverse experience holds great value, Cravero Designs places higher significance on the relationships established with each client. By working closely with the client and the entire consultant/builder team, the firm creates thoughtfully crafted spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. Listening to the client's priorities enables Cravero Designs to deliver spaces that exceed expectations, with Alina working one-on-one to ensure each client is pleased from conception through completion and beyond.
